Internal Audit Ambassador Program
Become a voice for the internal audit profession and help strengthen our community across the UAE.
Introduction
The UAE IAA Internal Audit Ambassador Program is designed to strengthen the Institute's national presence by creating a structured network of respected, active members who serve as advocates for the internal audit profession.
Through this initiative, ambassadors will promote awareness of UAE IAA activities, support local engagement, and foster collaboration between internal auditors, organizations, and universities.
The program also supports the UAE IAA's strategic priorities of member engagement, professional development, and advocacy for strong governance practices. Ambassadors will be selected based on clear, transparent criteria to ensure credible representation across various industries and sectors.
This initiative has proven highly successful in peer IIA affiliates, and aligns with international best practice in member engagement and leadership pipeline development.
Purpose
To strengthen the internal audit community across the United Arab Emirates by appointing respected UAE IAA members as ambassadors who promote awareness, collaboration, and continuous improvement in governance, risk management, and internal control practices across sectors and Emirates.
1. Selection Criteria
Ambassadors should demonstrate the following qualities and qualifications.
Active UAE IIA Members
Must be an active member in good standing with the UAE IAA.
Credible & Respected
Recognized as a trusted professional within the internal audit community.
Committed to Governance Excellence
Dedicated to promoting strong governance, risk management, and internal control practices.
Effective Communicators
Able to clearly articulate and advocate for the internal audit profession.
Role Models
Exemplify the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct.
Capacity & Willingness
Have the time and commitment to actively participate in ambassador activities.
Geographical & Sector Representation
Represent diverse industries and Emirates across the UAE.
2. Ambassador Responsibilities
As a UAE IAA Ambassador, you will be expected to fulfill the following responsibilities.
Serve as the UAE IAA's Local Representative
Act as the face of the UAE IAA in your region and industry sector.
Act as a Liaison
Bridge communication between the UAE IAA and local organizations and members.
Promote Awareness
Raise awareness about UAE IAA activities, events, and professional development opportunities.
Encourage an Ethical, Speak-Up Culture
Champion ethical practices and encourage open dialogue within organizations.
Support Events & Training
Assist in organizing and promoting UAE IAA events, workshops, and training programs.
Provide Feedback
Share insights and feedback from members to help improve UAE IAA initiatives.
Mentor Young & Student Members
Guide and support emerging professionals and students entering the internal audit profession.
